The Founders

The vision of the founders

“In the fall of 2017, we met for the first time in the heart of Switzerland and exchanged ideas about business management of the future. It soon became clear that ethics and morals are central pillars of our private as well as professional lives and that we share the same values … and we both have a deep desire to promote good in business. At the same time, we were sure that there are many other people who think as we do. That’s how the idea of SunHeart Business Leaders was born.

The goal of this hopefully soon-to-be global network is to connect people on the basis of shared values in order to establish an ethical and sustainable economy.

SunHeart Business Leaders are life-affirming, joyful people with sunny hearts – SunHearts, that is – who realize how much of value they have to give and who delight in serving a greater cause, not just themselves.”

Karin Fuchs-Häseli and Reto Sachs founded the network on July 1, 2018 and built it up over the following three years with a lot of heart, time and commitment. In the summer of 2021, Reto withdrew from the board and has since focused mainly on his own company again.

With a lot of strategic flairs and entrepreneurial vision, Reto has contributed significantly to making the network of SunHeart Business Leaders what it is today – the first Swiss business network for ethical and sustainable small business owners, with more than 70 members in six different countries.

SunHeart Business Leaders will continue to be led by Karin Fuchs-Häseli. Karin was born in Switzerland in 1966, completed a banking apprenticeship, and worked for a total of eleven years in various departments of major banks, including management positions in the areas of cash management, training, and human resources. Since 1993 she has been an independent trainer and consultant in Corporate Culture & Human Development. From 1997 to 2000, she led the course for human resources specialists at the KV Winterthur business school, where she taught the subjects of personnel development, personnel training and further education, communication and conversation skills, and employee management. For ten years, she headed the European headquarters of a global non-profit organization. She held various interim management mandates in the areas of human resources, change management, and personal coaching.

Since the age of 18, Karin Fuchs-Häseli has been studying the commonalities of different cultures, philosophies, and religions. Her specific interest lies in the fundamental principles of life – the laws of nature – and their application in personal and corporate everyday life. In order to support companies in running their business in harmony with nature and its laws, and thus to establish more ethics and sustainability in the economy, she started her own business 28 years ago. Since February 2021, she has been fully dedicated to the development and expansion of our network.

Karin Fuchs-Häseli is married and lives with her husband and daughter in rural Hohenrain, in the canton of Lucerne.
