A Brand with All Senses – Why Identity Must Be Experienced

 

When we think of a brand – what stays with us? Usually not the logo. Rather, it’s a scent, a taste, a sound, a color, a feeling. Brands that truly touch us speak to more than just our eyes – they activate all our senses.

In this talk, Dr. Birgit Rieder demonstrates how multisensory branding works in practice. Using a brand book she developed for an international company, she illustrates how a brand can not only be seen, but also felt, smelled, and tasted – turning it into a vivid experience. The audience won’t just listen, they will experience: close their eyes, sense the brand, and remember.

The second part looks ahead – to a young, sustainable skincare brand: Peruda. Together with founder Monica Otten, we’ll explore how even a new brand can make its identity tangible through the senses, and in doing so, emotionally connect with people.

A special highlight of the evening: we will present Dr. Birgit Rieder and her company Sojourn GmbH with the seal of approval Committed to Business Ethics.”

 

Our Speakers

Dr. Birgit Rieder
PhD in Business Administration, consultant, and co-founder of Sojourn. With over 28 years of experience in international leadership roles, she has led global teams, overseen strategy and positioning processes, and pursued further education in leadership and coaching at renowned institutions. Today, she combines her expertise in brand management and business development with her role as founder of Sojourn, a platform for rituals, well-being, and prevention. Her strength lies in guiding brands and people holistically – with clarity, purpose, and authenticity.

Monica Otten
Founder of Peruda Skincare, a brand launched in Zurich in 2024, offering gentle yet effective skincare based on wild-grown Amazon botanicals. Her products are free from water, synthetic additives, and perfume – designed for sensitive skin and for those in recovery. Monica unites scientific research, traditional plant knowledge, and sustainability into a brand philosophy that redefines skin health and well-being.
